Position Overview:

Safemaster's is seeking experienced CDL A Drivers to join our team. As a CDL A Driver with Safemasters, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of our growing team. Our routes cover expanded regional areas, mainly in the Midwest, with occasional trips to the Eastern region. You'll be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring a comfortable and efficient work environment. No long hauls so home time is ample.

Responsibilities:

Transport finished goods, refrigerated goods, and raw materials
Maintain and forward Bills of Lading
Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues
Meet delivery schedules
Comply with regulations and company policies
Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Adhere to DOT driving hours
Utilize tracking software

Bonus Skills or Qualifications:

Hazmat endorsement
Proficiency in using electronic logging devices
Knowledge of route planning software
Previous customer service experience

Automatic Volvo 860 sleeper with a 53-foot refrigerated trailer
Equipped with a TV, tablet, and refrigerator

Requirements

Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A license
Clean driving record with no tickets, incidents, or accidents on record
Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks
Willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
Cab Camera in the cab is an insurance requirement - willingness to comply
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (ELD, GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with DOT regulations
Trucking school diploma preferred
